Edgewood High School bid documents will be available on Friday, April 18, 2008, excluding site work. Bids are due Thursday, May 22, 2008. An early site package was bid in early March and work began April 1st.

Oak Contracting Shares Christmas Spirit Through Generosity
(December 21, 2007) For the third straight year, Oak Contracting has adopted two local families for the holiday season. As opposed to giving gifts to fellow employees, conducting a Secret Santa exchange, or even making a cash donation to a charity, the employees at Oak Contracting, or "Oakies" as referred to internally, decided three years ago to adopt a local family in need. The response was overwhelming so a second family was quickly adopted. Two local families have been adopted each year.

Oak Contracting awarded Construction Manager contract for Our Lady of Perpetual Help
(December 17, 2007) Oak Contracting was selected by the Archdiocese of Baltimore to serve as their construction manager for a structural renovation to Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Ellicott City. Oak will provide pre-construction services during design and oversee the construction process during the summer of 2008. Simpson Gumbertz & Heger is the architect/engineer of record.

Groundbreaking on the new $57 million Bel Air High School
(October 8, 2007) On Monday, October 8, 2007, Harford County Public Schools officially broke ground on the new $57 million Bel Air High School. Actual construction started earlier this spring with the relocation of utilities and continued throughout the summer with building pad preparation. Footers and slabs are currently being installed for the new 258,134 SF state-of-the-art facility. Next week steel columns will begin to be lifted into place for the structural frame.
