GEEF Recognizes Community Partners, Teachers

President of Oak Contracting Selected to Serve on Building Congress Executive Board
(June 17, 2009) — The Building Congress & Exchange of Metropolitan Baltimore, Inc. has selected Doug Eder, President of Oak Contracting, to serve on their Executive Board. Doug is currently serving his third year as a Board Director and will move into his new role as Secretary this November. Design Underway for the new Germantown Elementary School in Annapolis

Seven Locks Elementary School Slated for Replacement
(February 23, 2009) — Montgomery County Public Schools approved a contract for Oak Contracting to provide construction management services for the Seven Locks Elementary School replacement in Bethesda, MD. The replacement building is being designed by WMCRP Architects for an initial capacity of 410 students with a master-planned (core) capacity for 640 students.

Frederick County Board Of Education Approves CM Contract for Lincoln Elementary School
(November 25, 2008) — Last night the Frederick County Board Of Education approved a contract for Oak Contracting to provide construction management services for the Lincoln Elementary School “B” Building addition/renovation. Currently, Lincoln Elementary School is housed in two buildings located across the street from each other. The “B” building was built in 1922, with additions in 1938, 1953, and 1974.

Groundbreaking on the new $66 million Linganore High School
(October 28, 2008) — At 3pm this afternoon, Frederick County Public Schools officially broke ground on the new $66 million Linganore High School. Construction started over the summer after school let out with the demolition of the existing school. Footers and slabs are currently being installed for the new 266,046 SF state-of-the-art facility.

(October 8, 2007) On Monday, October 8, 2007, Harford County Public Schools officially broke ground on the new $57 million Bel Air High School. Actual construction started earlier this spring with the relocation of utilities and continued throughout the summer with building pad preparation. Footers and slabs are currently being installed for the new 258,134 SF state-of-the-art facility. Next week steel columns will begin to be lifted into place for the structural frame.
