Frederick County Public Schools has chosen Oak Contracting to serve as construction manager for the $20-million North Frederick Elementary School replacement project. The existing school will be completely demolished and a new 92,000 SF school will be built. The new school will increase student capacity from 518 to 700.
The project is being designed by Grimm + Parker Architects. Design will continue through spring of 2013 with construction beginning in June 2013. The project is anticipated to have a 22 to 24-month duration.
